Join us on July 24th, 2010 for the 3rd Annual 8 Hours of Superior Singletrack!

The 2010 edition of 8 Hours of Superior Singletrack is now behind us. The weather didn't cooperate for the middle part of the race, but the sun finally broke through to dry everyone off for the final laps. There were some great battles out on the course, and lots of smiles. It was another great year!

The highlight of the event was the amazing job done by all the fundraisers. Despite a smaller number of participants, riders managed to raise an incredible $10,534! The top five fundraisers were as follows:

1. Jordy Catterick: $1,867
2. Joe Ruscio: $950
3. Mike Richer: $910
4. Richard Poirier: $720
5. Rhona Dunlop: $502

Of note is that Jordy's employer, Cross Country Automotive, has agreed to match his pledges.

We'd like to especially thank the over 40 volunteers who helped us run another smooth event, and the Sault Search and Rescue for being at the ready to deal with any injuries (nothing to report).

And a huge thanks to our generous sponsors who allowed us to provide everyone with some great gear and piles of prizes. It's safe to say that no one went home without a prize.

We owe the great sucess of our races to our many volunteers, our generous sponsors, and to all of our participants (and those who gave pledges). Congratulations on raising over $7500 in 2009, and $13,900 since the race inception in 2008. Great work everyone, and many thanks!
